Savannah Art Association

Carrie is originally from Linton, Indiana.  Savannah has been her home for the last 19 years.  She
bought her first 35-mm camera in high school and took several photography classes.  Carrie attended
college and graduated with a degree in Laboratory Technology and worked in the medical field for 18
years.  After leaving the laboratory she picked up her camera and decided to pursue her love of
photography.  Carrie is a member of the
Landings Art Association, The Savannah Art Association and
the Telfair Museum.

At the Landings Spring Art show in April 2006, her black and white Floral was awarded a special
merit award.  At the Savannah Art Association Spring Show, she was again awarded a special Merit
award for her picture "Caught".  In 2002 her black and white photograph titled “Fowl Play” was
awarded first place at the Coast Week Photography contest.  Released in June of 2002, eleven of her
photographs were published in the hardback coffee table book titled “Savannah Georgia and the Low
Country” by Yorktown/Twin Light Publishing Company.

The last 5 years she has been in the top 5% in the Photographer’s Forum magazines annual photo
contest and has been published in their annual book (The Best of Photography).  Carrie's work can be
seen at Gallery 11 in City Market.  She recently entered a contest through Eli Lilly and The Cure
Magazine and her picture titled "Remission" will be on display at the Royal College of Art in London
this fall.
